Formatting and Design

One of the greatest challenges of the modern resume is making sure you stand out.

With the ease of online job applications, Human Resource departments and recruiters are inundated with endless applications. Often, these applications are bland, generic, or outdated — leading recruiters and hiring managers to simply skim through them without really seeing your value. Modernizing the look of your resume is an easy way to make your application stand out at first glance.

These days, Adobe InDesign is the best way to provide panache to your application. It allows professionals to create dazzling brochures, magazines, articles, resumes, and more with its industry-leading tools and features.

We produce customized, modern resumes that are lightyears ahead of the rest with the help of Adobe InDesign and a talented team of designers.

Implementation

In this step, we will add all of your resume content into the layout you choose. Depending on the layout and content itself, we may need to add or remove sections, change the titles, or rearrange sections to fit properly. We always do our best to maintain the integrity of the initial sample, but we ask that you trust our expertise. 

Your resume may not always look exactly like the sample and that’s okay! It’s customized just for your content which means no two resumes are exactly the same. If there are elements of specific layouts that are absolute deal breaks for you, please let us know prior to the formatting stage. If a sample includes a section that doesn’t apply to you — it’s okay! We will rename and/or remove sections as needed.

You are welcome to make specific requests, but we cannot always accommodate changes to the configuration as they may not suit your content. We ask that you defer to our expertise here!

Editing

​In order to make sure everything is formatted properly, we occasionally have to pare down content, add content, or adjust the order in which content is configured. Rest assured, any major content changes in this stage will be run by you first, but most of the time they’re not even noticeable and actually enhance your resume.

Finalization

In this step, we clean up the formatting and get it ready to send off, ensuring that the spacing, font, and alignment are consistent throughout the entire document. We are also happy to make any last-minute changes to ensure the highest quality product is being delivered to you.
Each project includes one (1) premium design. If you see a second (or even third) that you love, let us know — we are happy to format an additional version for you for a fee of $45 each.

You will receive a PDF version as your final product upon completion. If you’d like to purchase a .doc or .docx version of your resume in addition, they are subject to the $45 fee above. Upon request, we can provide you with the original Adobe InDesign source file for future adjustments!
